Troughs catch rain

to drink, catch all

the rain they can

to bathe cook sip.

a trickle to fill the

basin while a push

broom pushes rain

off the edge, off

a slippery surface,

while a raindrop

catches your eye,

then your throat,

while you watch

one drop catch

your lip, the lip

of the trough—

it beads up, then

flattens, smears

and slides into

your mouth, into

the tub. Mists,
